Awesome. Purely awesome. For all of those gamers out there who were eagerly anticipating and hoping that the amazing Rock Band would head to Nintendo Wii, put those fears away; it’s finally official!
In a third-quarter conference call today, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that a Wii version of Rock band is forthcoming.
Riccitiello mentioned the game at the end of the call’s question-and-answer session. There was no release date given, but Riccitiello referred to the “coming launch” of a Wii version of the game.
Being that Guitar Hero III is selling rather well on Nintendo’s 5th console Wii, it was almost a given that this game would be headed our way but it’s always nice to hear a final confirmation. Game On.
For all of those fans who have dreamed of a new Punch Out for a Nintendo console we may be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Today EA announced that a brand new IP is in development for all major systems including our Nintendo Wii.
The title looks to be very similar to Nintendo’s own Punch Out series and will be welcomed with open arms upon release!
“We’re very excited to announce FaceBreaker, an all-new franchise from EA SPORTS that is fun, fresh and innovative,” said Peter Moore, president, EA SPORTS. “FaceBreaker reinvigorates one of the great genres in sports videogames. Arcade boxing takes me back to my roots in this industry, and this game signals our shift to adding more approachable fun to our product lineup. In no time at all, you’ll be picking up the controllers and knocking your opponent around the ring, smashing faces, and having a riot.”
Good stuff gamers!
Since we are all caught up in the madness that is Super Smash Bros., I thought you all might enjoy the following image. I would say that I am very pleased with the results, aren’t you?
Japan=Long lines for Super Smash Bros. Brawl (can you blame them)
Game On= Very jealous of the Japanese!
The Japanese public is lucky enough to be the first ones to experience what looks to be Nintendo Wii’s best title ever, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Below is just a fraction of what you can expect today in the land of the rising sun as brawl is unleashed to an eager Japanese public. Have fun Japan, we get ours in 2 LONG months!
January 31st, 2008. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has officially gone on sale in Japan. Is everybody having fun with it?
However, Smash won’t come out in North America for a bit and sadly, Europe has an even longer wait until the game releases.
For the past eight months or so, Smash Dojo has served as a source of basic information for the game, but with the release of Brawl, the Dojo will take on a new role.
From here on out, the Dojo will begin to introduce the hidden characters, hidden stages, and additional features in Brawl that have gone unmentioned until now. I’d like to continue to add on to the Dojo so that players of Brawl can come back to this website following it’s completion and view Smash Dojo as a sort of guide for the game.
I plan on continuing updates for another two months, so please continue to enjoy the site.
Just remember, I’ll be posting information on hidden characters and other in-game secrets, so you should take caution when viewing the site if you want to save those surprises for later.
Below are some nice new images of the remarkable Ninja Reflex title that is coming to a Nintendo Wii near you. I used the adjective “remarkable” because if you see the title in action you will soon realize that this should be on every gamer’s radar.
I love the art style of the game and when I watched the trailer for the title I immediately had to preorder this game. Good stuff. Anyone with me on getting Ninja Reflex?
Below are the first screens of the uber-scary Fatal Frame for the Nintendo Wii and my oh my do they look good. If anyone out there is fans of the first two titles, hopefully this is the sequel you’ve been waiting for! Enjoy.
All I can say is watch this video!!!
They say pictures are worth a thousand words so I that is exactly what you will get. I must warn you all however that after the break, you will see a ton of Smash Bros. spoilers….. Go ahead click the rest of the entry….you know you want to! Game On
