Sony: PSN Outage to be addressed tomorrow

Quick Update: According to Reuters, Sony Corp executive deputy president Kazuo Hirai is scheduled to address the media about the PSN outage and security breach in Tokyo tomorrow at 2 p.m. (1 a.m. EDT).

I am certain a lot of gamers will want to hear what Sony’s executive deputy will have to say tomorrow and will be all ears. More as it develops.

Gears of War 3 Beta is awesome

Sorry for the lack of updates today but the Gears of War 3 beta has officially taken hold of me and has not let go since last night. My initial impressions of this game is that it is AWESOME. I am currently level 9 and am loving every minute of it. The 4 maps that are available for this beta are well balanced and have been very fun to play. There is a ton of unlockables to get and the new weapons are especially awesome.

Look for a more in depth impressions story later this week (I want to gain a few more levels before an official write up).

If you are currently in the beta, shoot me an email and let me know your gamertag so we can play sometime.

Redbox to offer video game rentals

Redbox, the popular movie rental station, began testing video game rentals nearly two years ago, but they’ll now be available at more than 21,000 locations nationwide starting on June 17, 2011.

In announcing the launch date, the company confirmed that its kiosks will now offer games for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii covering “top releases to popular family and kids titles.” Game rentals will run $2 a day.

Does anyone out there have a location by them that currently offers the video game rental service? If so, do you use it?
