Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed Trailer

This just in, Sega has released the first footage of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Sega announced the game earlier today and will be available for Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. I enjoyed the first all stars racing title and this one has definitely gotten my attention.

If you can spare a minute, check out the trailer and let me know what you think.

Is it Microsoft’s Turn for a Smash Bros. Clone?

Sony has finally unveiled their “Super Smash Bros. killer” in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and we are left wondering, is it Microsoft’s turn? Here are 15 characters that say “bring it on!”

Master Chief

The literal face of XBOX gaming, Master Chief is one bad-ass and would fit perfectly in a Smash Bros. type game. He has been Microsoft’s leading character and has brought us some of the best first person shooters ever created. I can only imagine him having an insane amount of move sets and his background levels would be pretty sweet too. Omitting Master Chief would be a crime against XBOX fans.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PS3

After weeks of rumors, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PS3 has finally been revealed. Sony’s answer to Nintendo’s historic Smash Bros franchise looks outstanding and collects a number of Playstation characters and pits them against one another in a fight to the end. The game does look very nice and I am very interested to see how this one will turn out.

Well played Sony, Nintendo better be taking notes….

Nintendo Wii U: Rayman Legends Trailer

The trailer for the previously unannounced Rayman Legends for Wii U has leaked onto Youtube and I have been filled with absolute joy.

The video showcases a ton of Wii U related functionality in the game including players placing figurines of characters such as a Rabbid from Rayman and Ezio from the Assassin’s Creed series onto the screen of the Wii U controller, affecting the gameplay in Rayman Legends (think the recent Spyro games).

This new revelation could give us a glimpse of what Nintendo has been doing behind closed doors. Please be sure to watch the trailer.

Sony NEX5 Case Review

A while back I treated myself to a brand new camera in the Sony NEX5. I found the device to take amazing pictures and was exactly what I was looking for in a new camera. The Sony NEX5 takes pictures very fast and has captured some of life’s most precious moments (I am a father of 4, soon to be 5 and was in need of a sweet camera).

The camera has become a bit of a second extension of my arm and I love carrying it with me wherever I go. When I originally purchased this camera, the good guys from Best Buy gave me a Sony NEX case to go along with my device and has sufficed thus far. Enter my brand new Sony NEX 5n Case that I just received. Since I “love me some technology”, I have decided to write a review on my newest “treasure”.

Nintendo Finally Embracing Digital Distribution

Nintendo is planning the digital distribution of their retail titles this fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2013. This news comes from Nintendo’s recent financial statements. Here is the quote:

“Forecasted sales units of Nintendo 3DS software and Wii U software… include the quantity of the packaged software by means of digital distribution.” Nintendo has not traditionally included digital sales in their software sales numbers but is now making an exception for downloads that have a corresponding packaged version.

It is nice to see Nintendo FINALLY embracing “current technology”. In my opinion, I think that the majority of gamers will still prefer physical copies of titles but this is a major draw for publishers.

Uncharted Trilogy Now Available For Playstation 3 From Amazon France

Quick Update: Amazon France has revealed that the Uncharted Trilogy (some of my favorite games of all time) is now available for purchase on the Playstation 3. No date outside of France and select European regions has been given and the game currently retails for 63.48 euros.

I would imagine at some point, this collection will be available everywhere and if you have missed the series at all and currently live in France, purchase this game.

In case you missed our Uncharted 3 review, click the link and give it a read. Here’s hoping this is released everywhere.
