5 Titles I Want at E3 2013…But Wont Get

E3 2013 is just a month out and I cannot wait to see what the big show brings us. With 2 new systems headed to market this Holiday season and Nintendo having something to prove with their Wii U, this year’s E3 is going to be one to remember.

We here at Myvideogamenews have compiled a list of 5 titles that we would die to see at this year’s show, but sadly, none of these games will show their face (probably). So, without further ado, here are 5 Titles I Want at E3 2013…But Wont Get:

NintendoLand 2

I loved NintendoLand. I think it’s a perfect example of what Nintendo Wii U is all about and still have a lot of fun with the game. I would love it if the Big N revealed a sequel to this much deserving game complete with multiple Wii U gamepad support. The new game could be packaged with a 2nd Wii U gamepad and would open up a ton of new innovative ways to play. Although I still think 3rd parties have yet to exploit the Wii U gamepad, Nintendo has stated that the Wii U will support 2 gamepads in the future and what better way to introduce this feature than a new NintendoLand (oh and be sure to add DLC and online play Nintendo).

Yeah…..remember this one guys?! I almost forgot about this series but I pray that Nintendo does not ignore this franchise and I hope that we see more of this game. Battalion Wars is a very fun game and I can see it fitting perfectly on the Wii U. Imagine all the colorful worlds and little army dudes running around in glorious HD. Imagine deploying your units with the Wii U gamepad. Imagine having this series having full online support with DLC to boot. I think that this could become another outstanding franchise for Nintendo and would love to see Nintendo re-explore this series.

Killer Instinct 3

When was the last time you heard the words “ULTRA COMBO!!!!”? I would LOVE to see a Killer Instinct 3 game and what better way to kick off a new platform than to show off a Killer fighting game (see what I did there). With titles like Super Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat, Injustice Gods Among Us and Street Fighter X Tekken, the fighting genre has seen a bit of a renaissance and now would be an amazing time to re-introduce gamers with an all new Killer Instinct game. The first 2 in the series were phenomenal back in the day and I am praying that this franchise doesn’t fall by the waist side.

Kameo Elements of Power 2

I liked Kameo Elements of Power. I thought it was a great launch title for XBOX 360 and actually enjoyed the entire game. I thought it was sweet changing between monsters and solving puzzles with each character. A sequel to this XBOX 360 launch title would be welcomed by yours truly and I think they can really innovate this game and have it become a very respectable franchise. A number of new monsters and transformations complete with updated graphics and maybe an online fighting arena could help bring this series up to speed. Maybe Rare and Microsoft could even incorporate Pokemon-esque collecting and trading for the monsters and characters in the game.

Jak and Daxter 4

Developer Naughty Dog, the studio behind the amazing Uncharted series, has hinted that a new Jak and Daxter game may be in the works, but nothing has ever materialized. I love the series and have the HD remake for my PS3 but I’m dying for more. I would love to see this one remastered and built from the ground up on Sony’s new hardware and feel it would help diversify their lineup. I am not sure if we will ever see a Jak and Daxter 4 but if we do, consider at least one copy sold.

So there you have it everyone, my 5 titles I would love to see at this year’s E3 2013. What are yours?

Honorable mentions: Eternal Darkness 2, Heavenly Sword 2 and Conker Live and Reloaded 2.

  1. Fully agree with Battalion Wars U.
I’m interested in Nintendo mining their rich history to the fullest creative extent, along with creating new ideas. New ideas could also include new genres for established series.

I’d love to see video of a shocking sizzle reel from one of Nintendo’s “smaller” presentations this E3, teasing Wii U exclusives like: F-ZERO, Expedition Ice Climber, Mach Rider X, Hunter: Record of Samus Aran, Custom Robo U, Art Style Galleria, Super bit.Trip Complete, electroplankton Unity, Chibi-Robo U, The Legend of Zelda: The Imprisoning War, The Legend of Zelda: Tales of Hyrule – Episode 1, The Legend of Zelda: The Tribe of Gerudo – Book One, Super Mario Mysteries – Episode 1, Star Fox: Feral Force, Nintendo Generations: Clubhouse Casino, Nintendo Generations: Art Academy, Nintendo Generations: Wii Sports U, Nintendo Generations: Wii Fit U, Nintendo Generations: Big Brain U, 1080 & Wave Race: Extreme Resort & Spa, Subspace Emissary: Infinite Kingdoms, Star Tropics, Pokemon: Gale of Light, Fatal Frame V, Captain Rainbow U, Metroid Prime Trilogy HD Ultimate, Trauma Team U, Shenmue III: Chapter 1, Beyond Good & Evil 2: Ultimate Edition, Okami U, Eternal Darkness: The Lurking Horror, Final Fantasy U, Tales of Utopia, SMT: Persona 5, Chronosphere, Destiny of Mana, Silent Hill: Abomination, Miyamoto’s answer to Halo

  2. I agree strongly with U too about Nintendo Land 2, if only to see a Kirby’s Tilt n’ Tumble inspired Kirby attraction.
Maybe the sequel would be called Super Nintendo Land, and feature attractions based on specific games, including specific Super NES games?
