It’s that time again my friends. Time where we peak into our gaming crystal ball and try and make some big gaming predictions for the upcoming year. With 2015 already in full swing, we here at MVGN have made some predictions for 2015 and we hope you enjoy them. Will Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo drop the prices of their home consoles? Will The Last Guardian release? What will Nintendo do next?
Check out our predictions and let us know what you guys think!
XBOX One Drops in Price….Again (Sony and Nintendo Follow Suite)
While the XBOX One was $349.99 for the holidays, the price point has gone back up to its original price of $399. We believe it’s only a matter of time before Microsoft decides to drop the price permanently so look for a price drop in the coming months for the system. We also think that Sony and Nintendo will drop the prices of their respective platforms as well.
The Last Guardian Release Time Revealed
It’s been a long time coming but we think 2015 will be the year that we finally see The Last Guardian resurface. The game that has been in development limbo for centuries will finally make a return at this year’s TGS and a release window will finally be given for this highly sought after title.
Amiibo’s Continue to Be A Big Thing
Nintendo has struck a cord in the toy to life category and we think that Nintendo’s popular Amiibo figures will continue to be a BIG thing in 2015. We think that Nintendo will capitalize on this new business venture and possibly make a game that requires the cool toys sometime late this year. We think that Nintendo will announce more titles throughout the year that make great use of Amiibo’s and continue to filter in these toys throughout the year.
All New Mass Effect Announced And Really Shakes Things Up For The Series
Just like the title implies, we think that the newest entry into the Mass Effect franchise will shake things up a bit for the series. Mass Effect has garnered a huge following and we believe that the next in the series will be very ambitious. We also expect the new title won’t arrive until 2016.
Nintendo Comes Out With A Tablet (QOL Machine)
In case you missed it, we here at MVGN outlined why we think a Nintendo tablet would be a fantastic idea. The Big N is due to release some new information regarding their QOL (quality of life project) and we think that a Nintendo-made tablet may be in their future. The new tablet would not only monitor your sleep and improve your quality of life, it will be able to communicate with your Wii U and transfer game saves etc between devices. It would be a perfect fit between their portable and home console business.
