Wii U Selling Out in Japan

Well this is positive news (sort-of) for Nintendo… Apparently the Wii U is selling out in a number of retail outlets in Japan. One retail outlet (Yodobashi) has sold out of the console completely and only backorders are available. It is also not currently available on Amazon or Tsutaya. No official word has been given on the situation but it is being speculated that supply is not keeping up with demand.

Interesting news to say the least… Is Nintendo preparing something new for the Wii U (price cut) or is it simply a supply issue?

More as it develops.
