Netflix Headed to Switch

A Netflix customer service rep has told GoNintendo user KamehamehaX that Netflix is “locked and loaded” for the Nintendo Switch. The app has supposedly been submitted for Nintendo’s popular platform and it should be only a matter of time before the streaming video service shows up on the device. I think it would be pretty incredible if this happens sooner rather than later and we will keep you updated once the news hits.

Nintendo Spends $4.5m On TV Ads In August

It has been revealed that Nintendo has spent an estimated $4.5 Million dollars on advertising for the month of August. If this turns out to be true, it would be more money than Xbox and Playstation. Playstation campaigns amounted to a total estimated figure of $2.5m and Xbox at $1.5m.

It will be interesting to see how things ramp up in the coming Holiday season as the release of XBOX One X is fast approaching while Sony will be pushing its hardware to the fullest. Nintendo has gone on record stating that it may be hard to find a Switch this Holiday season so let’s all just wait and see how this pans out. It has been nice to see a ton of advertisements from Nintendo products as the Wii U didn’t receive this much love when it was available.

Doom For Nintendo Switch is Custom Built For The System

It has been revealed that Doom for the Nintendo Switch has been custom built for Nintendo’s hybrid home console. Bethesda had the following to say regarding the game:

“DOOM on Switch is custom-built for the hardware and while graphics won’t be 1:1 with other platforms, the game will deliver the amazing DOOM look and feel that fans are excited to get on Switch.”

I was very surprised to see this game revealed during this weeks Nintendo Direct and I plan on picking up the game when it’s released later this year. My fingers are crossed for this one my friends.
