WiiWare Gem “Lost Winds” Headed to Mobile Devices

In case you missed the two LostWinds games for WiiWare (shame on you by the way), you will soon have two more choices for platform on which to play them: iOS and Android.

During the Develop conference, Frontier Developments head David Braben revealed that the WiiWare platformers are being ported to iPad, iPhone, and Android, with the D-pad/Wiimote pointer controls replaced by a virtual pad and touch-based wind controls. Seems like a perfect fit if you ask me…

LostWinds for iOS and Android will be released later this year.

Super Street Fighter Volt now on iOS

First mentioned during a recent Capcom event in Tokyo, Super Street Fighter Volt is now available for download on iTunes. The game adds Wi-Fi support for head-to-head matches online and three new fighters to the original cast: Balrog, Vega and Cody. The mobile version of Street Fighter 4 (I should say cell phone version) now has a total of 17 fighters.

Right now you can snag Volt for a buck, but over the course of the next week, Capcom will raise the price of the game each day by one dollar. On July 6, the game will have its price locked in at $6.99.

Accessory Review: The Logic 3 Leather Stand Case for iPad 2

Whether it be Macbook Pro Accessories, protection for my Nintendo 3DS, iPad and iPad 2 Accessories, our technology always seems better fitted while complimented with some sort of accessory. They protect the device, provide support and typically sleek up our technology. Recently my Logic 3 Leather Stand Case (pictured above) arrived for my iPad 2 and I am thrilled to report that this iPad 2 case will replace my Apple branded smart cover that has been on my iPad 2 since launch. The Logic 3 Leather Stand Case provides more protection for my expensive device, looks sleek, and serves its purpose. How well do we rate this case?

Read on and find out.

Has Apple just entered the home console race?

If you have yet to play a game from an iOS device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch), you are really missing out on some fantastic games. Titles like Zenonia (very reminiscent of Zelda SNES and features over 20 hours of gameplay), Angry Birds, Infinity Blade, Fruit Ninja, The Creeps, Pocket Legends and Rolando (just to name a few), are outstanding games and help solidify Apple as a major player when it comes to the gaming industry.

Take a look at the video below. It’s an iPad 2 user using the “mirroring” feature that will be found in iOS 5 and essentially turns his $99 Apple TV, into a home gaming console. This has tremendous possibilities and I cannot wait to see how this plays out. Check out the video and let me know what you guys think:

Be Heard… What’s in your systems?

In this edition of “Be Heard”, I thought it would be cool to ask everyone what they are currently playing and what titles are in your systems. Here are mine:

Currently playing: DOA Dimensions (just purchased yesterday)

Nintendo Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (my 6 year old has fallen in love with the game and it is one of the greatest titles of all time).

XBOX 360: Halo Reach (Yes I am still playing this phenomenal game).

PS3: Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Just finished this game actually and will be playing its sequel soon….I CAN’T WAIT).

Nintendo 3DS: DOA Dimensions (Look for our review later this week but the game is stunning!!!)

iPhone: Save Patchland (A game I made…. although I am one of the few who actually bought it…)

That’s it for me, what are you playing?

Minecraft headed to Xperia Play before other Android devices

Mojang Studios today revealed that its world-building immensely popular indie hit, Minecraft, will be heading exclusively to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play before other Android-enabled devices.

According to a Mojang representative, the Xperia Play version will have customized controls for the phone’s PlayStation-style controller layout and also hinted at the nature of the release, saying it’ll fall in line with the studio’s previous “release early and update frequently” model.

Incredible news for Minecraft and here’s hoping to a iPhone release. More as it develops.

iPhone 4 Otterbox review

I love my iPhone 4. It has become an extension of me and I seem to use the device for everything. Having 4 kids and 2 pets, it’s a necessity to have a case on my iPhone 4. I have had a number of cases but I have finally found my match in the Otterbox defender case.
