Halloween Event Propels Pokemon GO To Top Grossing Mobile Game

Once again, Pokemon Go sits atop the top grossing games list on the iOS charts. The Halloween event most likely has given the popular title the boost so I am certain Niantic is taking notice. Last week, the game had fallen as low as number ten. With the additions coming to Pokemon GO, we can see this trend continuing for the near future.

More as it develops.

Here is the the launch trailer for Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst. That…Is…All… Oh and by the way, the game looks outstanding. I am s pleased they decided to revisit Mirror’s Edge as a franchise and am interested to see how this performs at retail. I know there are a TON of people who fell in love with the first one but that doesn’t necessarily equate to great sales. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this does decent at retail as the gaming community needs games like this.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst heads to PS4, XBOX One and PC.

Mobile Browser Game of The Week

It’s that time again my friends, time where we announce our “Mobile Browser Game of The Week”. This has been a running thing on our website for the past couple of months in where we tell you guys what we have been playing on my smartphones mobile browser. These bit sized games can be played directly on your mobile browser either on your computer or on your cell phone and help pass the time if you are waiting in line or have kids that need some mobile entertainment. Our phones are always filled with games via their corresponding app store but this is a nice little alternative to that so we thought we would share what games we have been playing.

This week we have been knee deep in The Minions. Yes those adorable little creatures from the new movie have a plethora of mobile games from our friends over at Poki and some have been pretty decent to play on the go. One of the games that my son and I picked out right away is Minion go-kart. We are huge Mario Kart fans so this is the first one we enjoyed. While the game is no Mario Kart (nothing really is honestly), it reminded me of the old Off Road game titles and once we got the hang of everything, it was decently fun. Here s quick description of the game:

Race a Despicable Me go-kart to victory against rival Minions! You will speed across curvy cartoon tracks on your way to winning the World Cup. Follow the guideline arrows through each bend in the road, and steer clear of palm trees in Minion Kart

If something like this doesn’t fit your fancy, there are a ton of other titles that should entertain you for a bit. Check it out and let us know what you think. Until next time…
