Be Heard… Plans for the Weekend

It has been a couple of days since I have done a “Be Heard” post so I figured it was about time… I wanted to just take a moment and ask you guys, what are you doing this weekend? Do you plan on revisiting a classic in The Legend of Zelda 3D or are you doing something really cool for father’s day? Let us know!

Me- I am hoping to (finally) finish Halo Reaches campaign mode (I have been addicted to the multiplayer since launch) and enjoy my father’s day with the fam.

Oh and then there’s ZELDA!!!!

What are you guys doing?

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword on Jimmy Fallon Tonight

In case you missed it, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has been holding a video game week this past week and Friday will be Nintendo’s turn on the show. While some people have been wondering if the Wii U will make an appearance, it has been confirmed that The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword will in fact be on the show.

At the conclusion of last night’s show, a quick text of “Zelda: Skyward Sword Friday” popped up squashing any hopes for a Wii U reveal.

I am still looking forward to seeing the game (since when is Zelda a disappointment). Make sure you tune in.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordreleases this Holiday season.

Crysis 2 Only on EA’s Origin, Pulled From Steam

If you were looking to get Crysis 2 via Valve’s Steam platform, you may have missed your chance. EA’s new Origin service, a re-branded EA Store that seems to be going head-to-head with Valve’s Steam platform, is now touting a “only on Origin” for the popular FPS.

As of this writing, Crysis 2 has been yanked from Steam and is now available “only on Origin.” Interesting move by EA and I will be eager to see how this plays out.

More as it develops.

E3 2011: 1 Final Note

And just like that, E3 2011 is already a memory in gamers minds (a fresh memory albeit). And although I have my opinions on “who won E3 2011,” in the end, I guess you can say we all won as gamers. Between Uncharted 3, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, PS Vita, Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Kirby for Wii (which wasn’t even mentioned during Nintendo’s press conference), Wii U, a bevy of Move and Kinect support, Rayman Origins, the phenomenal looking and my most anticipated game to come out of E3 TOMB RAIDER, E3 2011 was one for the record books.

I would like to take this time and personally thank you all for visiting the site this week and I hope you all enjoyed the coverage. We loved providing it and had a blast. Hopefully one day a nice advertiser will swing by and say “hey, we heart your site and would like to pay you some money” so that I could do this for the rest of my life. honestly love doing this and I always read and appreciate all of your comments and emails. Thanks again and here’s to another great year of gaming.

Game On.

Wii U: Pikmin officially headed to the system

Following tonight’s roundtable for Nintendo, the company has confirmed that Pikmin is indeed headed to the next generation Nintendo home console, Wii U.

The title is apparently coming along very nice and may be ready very soon (the game was being developed for Wii for some time but then switched to Wii U).

Wii Vitality Sensor on Life Support

The Nintendo Wii vitality sensor (the long lost Wii ad-on) apparently had problems performing consistently in a variety of environments and this is why we haven’t seen the device.

Nintendo is going to continue to do research and see if they can bring some of these ideas to the market at some point in the future.
