Yakuza Kiwami PS4 Review

This is a review of Yakuza Kiwami on the Playstation 4. It’s a remake of the very first game in the Yakuza series that was released in 2005 for the PS2. In the game you play Yakuza with a conscience Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima. The game takes place in fictional part of Tokyo called Kamurocho which is based on the real Tokyo red-light district of Kabukicho. In this review I’m going to briefly go over what I consider to be the three main parts of the game: story, combat, and mini-games. Those three things pretty much combine to make the sum total that is Yakuza Kiwami.

Snake Pass PS4 Review

Have you ever wanted to revisit that “classic platforming game” that allows you to explore a colorful world and collect many items along the way? Well Snake Pass from Sumo Digital may fit your bill. The vibrant world in this physics based puzzle/platforming game have made me happy and although it could be a bit cumbersome when it comes to the controls, I walked away (or should I say “slithered” away) decently satisfied.

Here’s the better news; Guacamelee: Super TURBO Championship Edition is just as amazing as it was on PS Vita and PS3. In case you missed it the first time around, Guacamelee is one outstanding title. The game ingests humor and gives gamers a title that’s reminiscent of Castlevania or Nintendo’s classic Metriod series.
