Pilotwings Resort Review

Pilotwings Resort is a perfect title to compliment the Nintendo 3DS and is truly a marvel to play in terms of its 3D draw distance and sublime graphics. Although the title was released alongside Nintendo’s new handheld, yours truly did not crack it open until recently and I have to say that I am very pleased with the outcome.

How well did we like it? Read on for our official review to find out.

Virtua Tennis 4 review

I remember when the first Virtua Tennis served it’s way on the Dreamcast back in 2000. The game quickly hooked players in with an addictive arcade style of play and fantastic graphics. Here we are in 2011 and Sega has just released another version of their stellar tennis title and it is what we have all come to expect whenever we get a new Virtua Tennis game; a solid, fun and overall great video game experience that the whole family can enjoy.

How did the new release fair? Read on and find out.

Mortal Kombat Review

A little disclaimer right off the bat….I am a HUGE fan of this series, and have been since the first Mortal Kombat came out in arcades back in the early 90’s. I will be objective in this review, but know that this series is near and dear to my heart…

The Mortal Kombat series in the early days was strictly an arcade affair. The original Mortal Kombat was an answer to Street Fighter II back in the day. Midway (Now defunct, and MK team members are part of Netherrealm Studios under Warner Bros) created a fighter with realistic digitized fighters, with a unique hook…at the end of the match instead of just hitting the guy, you had the option to actually kill them!! It drew tons of attention, both positive and negative, and created a following for this series that remains strong today. Mortal Kombat II came out a couple years later and it was Mortal Kombat on steroids!! They took everything great about the first one and added all sorts of great things to it. Mortal Kombat 3, and eventually Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 showed up in arcades over the next few years and each installment added more and more craziness and content to the formula.
