PlayStation Vita Retail Boxes Pictured

Check out, what appears to be, PS Vita retail boxes and Physical Game Cards. I dig the look and if these are the final design, color me happy. They are sleek, sexy and definitely eye catching. From a retail perspective, they will be easily identifiable and stand out on the shelf.

Super Monkey Ball is officially headed to Sony PS Vita early next year. Here is a quote from the press release:

The puzzling primates return with all-new worlds, original mini-games and updated graphics adding a fresh new vibrancy to Super Monkey Ball for PlayStation Vita. Players can manage each monkey’s momentum to navigate narrow ledges, moving platforms and loads of challenging obstacles. Roll your chosen ape to the goal by taking full advantage of the capabilities offered by the innovative new PSVITA handheld console and challenge up to four friends in Wi-Fi enabled multiplayer modes. Fans can also enjoy revamped classic games such as the much-loved Monkey Target, along with brand new additions

I REALLY miss Monkey Target and with Wi-Fi enabled multiplayer modes, this one may be one to get. Check out the first screens and trailer of the game after the break.

Final Fantasy XI Headed to PS Vita?

Final Fantasy XI is better-liked and has a more devoted player base than Final Fantasy XIV, despite its aging appearance. As a result, Square Enix is apparently considering a new platform for the popular MMO title: the PlayStation Vita.

At the moment, it’s being reported that Square Enix is still in the consideration stage for this project. This would be a basic port of the game; but it makes a large amount of sense that Square Enix would consider this system since it’ll have both Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities.

More as it develops but interesting non-the-less. Stay tuned.
