China has decided to lift its ban on video game consoles. The ban was temporarily lifted by the government in January, but the only way console manufacturers could sell consoles was with government approval. Now it appears that China has completely lifted its ban and consumers will soon be able to purchase any console they want.
It’s that time yet again my lovely and awesome readers; time for us to reveal our “Mobile Browser Game of the Week”. We hope you have been enjoying this little weekly feature on our website as we love games and anything that interests us or catches our fancy, we always love to share. This weekly feature showcases some of the things that you can do either at work on your computer browser or on the go within your smartphone’s mobile web browser. It’s a fun way to kill some time while on break or if you get bored of the app store games that are available. This week’s game is one called Agario (maybe you have seen it on your mobile app store).
The object of Agario is this; players must consume smaller cells and dominate the world! In Agario, you must have an eat-or-be-eaten mentality to survive. Compete in fast, difficult skill modes like FFA, Teams, and Experimental. Split into two cells, or eject mass for a quick burst of speed. Basically eat smaller circles and stay away from the bigger ones (until you get bigger….then consume them all you want).
While the game doesn’t sound all that fun, it gets addicting especially since you begin to see other players pretty quick. Once you get yourself to a decent size, you will be chasing other players who are smaller than you while trying to avoid other players who have become quite good at the little browser game.
As we have mentioned in previous weeks, these games are often bite sized fun that help pass time. This one starts off basic as basic could be but turns out to be pretty addicting. If you check it out, let me know what you think.
Tiny Galaxy is an entertaining little Wii U eShop title that players may want to check out. It’s a challenging game with an adorable sound track and interesting visuals. Tiny Galaxy isn’t your average platformer and is an interesting take on the genre. Rather than traversing levels from left-to-right found in a typical platformer, players are tasked with performing vertical jumps from planet to planet while collecting the stars located on each one. While it’s not a perfect game by any means, if you have a few extra bucks laying in your eshop account, you may want to give this one a try.
Nintendo’s TVii service is set to close up shop come next month. The service was available for the past 3 years and was a nifty little feature for the Wii U system that could’ve been used a bit better if they decided to “flesh out” the app. Here is what they had to say regarding Nintendo TVii:
After almost 3 years of finding, watching and engaging with Nintendo TVii, we will be ending the service on August 11, 2015 at 3:00pm PT. At the same time, we will be closing the Nintendo TVii Miiverse community.
We sincerely thank you for all of your engagement within the community and the Nintendo TVii service. We look forward to your contributions within our many other Miiverse communities.
There will be an all new Dragon Quest game to be revealed on July 28th. It is rumored to be apart of the main series and not a spin off title like the upcoming PS4 title Dragon Quest Heroes. We will know more about the game next week so stay tuned. I am excited to see more regarding the next entry in the series and our guess is that it will land on PS4. Source
It’s that time again my friends, time where we announce our “Mobile Browser Game of The Week”. This has been a running thing on our website for the past couple of months in where we tell you guys what we have been playing on my smartphones mobile browser. These bit sized games can be played directly on your mobile browser either on your computer or on your cell phone and help pass the time if you are waiting in line or have kids that need some mobile entertainment. Our phones are always filled with games via their corresponding app store but this is a nice little alternative to that so we thought we would share what games we have been playing.
This week we have been knee deep in The Minions. Yes those adorable little creatures from the new movie have a plethora of mobile games from our friends over at Poki and some have been pretty decent to play on the go. One of the games that my son and I picked out right away is Minion go-kart. We are huge Mario Kart fans so this is the first one we enjoyed. While the game is no Mario Kart (nothing really is honestly), it reminded me of the old Off Road game titles and once we got the hang of everything, it was decently fun. Here s quick description of the game:
Race a Despicable Me go-kart to victory against rival Minions! You will speed across curvy cartoon tracks on your way to winning the World Cup. Follow the guideline arrows through each bend in the road, and steer clear of palm trees in Minion Kart
If something like this doesn’t fit your fancy, there are a ton of other titles that should entertain you for a bit. Check it out and let us know what you think. Until next time…
An all new car is headed to the PS4 standout Rocket League and you can check its out above. I wasn’t able to track down a release date for the DLC but when I do, I will let you all know. I recently downloaded the game via PSN and have been having a blast with it. The game is an interesting mix and I am hoping to have a review for it soon.
Here are the latest hardware sales from Japan. Looks like the PS4 enjoyed a nice boost in sales as the system almost doubled in sales from the previous week. Check out the list below and see what sold last week:
