This just in my Zelda fans; The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has officially gone gold. The game, which is set to arrive on March 3rd for Nintendo Switch and Wii U, has been a long time coming and we cannot wait to play it next month. Every time Nintendo puts out a new trailer for the game, my anticipation goes through the roof. The news was shared on Twitter via Trusted Reviews by Monolith Soft developer Yasuyuki Honne.

Only a few short weeks now my friends. More as it develops.

Fire Emblem Heroes Earns Almost 3 Million in First Day

The recently released Fire Emblem Heroes has already garnered almost 3 million bucks. The game earned more than $2.9 million in worldwide gross revenue and been downloaded more than two million times according to the Data tracking firm, Sensor Tower. The game, which hit the iOS store as well as Android can be downloaded for free and players can purchase in game items for real money.

It will be interesting to see how things play out in the long run as this is more of a “hardcore” mobile game.

How does a studio transition from specializing in first-person shooter development to creating a brand-new open world action RPG? We went behind the scenes of Horizon Zero Dawn’s development and talked to Guerrilla Managing Director Hermen Hulst, Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek, Game Director Mathijs de Jonge and Technical Director Michiel van der Leeuw about the challenges involved in making the switch.

Horizon Zero Dawn comes exclusively to PS4 on February 28th. I have high hopes for this one… Are you picking this up?

Nintendo Switch’s Super Bowl Ad

For the first time ever, Nintendo has decided to run an ad during the Super Bowl. The 90 second spot will feature a number of key Switch titles and will no doubt cost the company a pretty penny. I am thrilled to hear this news as the Super Bowl will captivate millions around the US this Sunday and it’s nice to see Nintendo spend some money and capitalize on it.

The catchy ad features a new song by Imagine Dragons called “Believer” that premiered worldwide Jan. 31. The Nintendo Switch’s Super Bowl ad is scheduled to run during the game’s fourth quarter on Feb. 5.

Awesome stuff indeed…
