Promising Wii U title, The Wonderful 101 finally gets a wonderful release date

Nintendo has finally announced that the Wii U exclusive game, The Wonderful 101, will be available in Europe from August 23 and North America on September 15. This news comes from today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. Although I thought we would be playing The Wonderful 101 a bit earlier, it is great to finally hear a solid release date for this upcoming Wii U game. I plan on getting this one when it is release later this year.

Here is the official box art for New Super Luigi U. The retail version of the title will be available in August and can be purchased separately from New Super Mario U. The retail version of the game will only set you back $29.99 and features a TON of new content for Wii U owners.

Players who may not be interested in purchasing the retail version of the title will be able to download New Super Luigi U from the Wii U eShop if they have New Super Mario U. The DLC will be $19.99 and releases on June 20th.

Quick Update: Nintendo Bringing E3 2013 Wii U Games to Best Buy

During today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has announced that players will be able to sample some of the games that Nintendo showcases at E3 2013 at select Best Buy locations throughout the United States. It’s a way of Nintendo’s way of bringing E3 to its fan-base and I really hope that one of the select Best Buy locations is one in my hometown. I think this is a very smart move by Nintendo and should extend the awareness for Wii U.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, the New Super Luigi U release date was revealed. New Super Luigi U will release in North America on June 20 and Europe on July 26. In addition to Luigi, users can play as Nabbit in multiplayer mode. A disc-release is also planned, and will come in August.

The standalone DLC for New Super Luigi will cost $19.99 while the retail version of the title will go for $29.99. It’s a very attractive price point for Wii U owners and looks to be a great title for the system.

Here is an amazing, official teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins. The game is headed to every console on October 25th 2013. The full trailer for the highly anticipated title will be released next week on May 20th. Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.

Here is the official Fuse Launch trailer for everyone to check out. The game is scheduled for release May 28th. Fuse is a volatile alien substance that when combined with elements found on earth…things get really interesting. While the members of Overstrike 9 found Fuse-powered weapons deep inside a secret government base, they’re not the only ones who have access to this high-tech compound.

This just in, there will be an all new Wii U Nintendo Direct Coming On May 17th. The Nintendo Direct is said to focus on titles that will be available in the Spring and Summertime for Nintendo Wii U, so expect to see a lot of New Super Luigi, Game and Wario, Wii Fit U and Pikmin 3. The big N has also stated that they will hold another Nintendo Direct showcasing future games for Wii U closer to E3 2013.

Here is the first Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure – Announcement Trailer for everyone to check out. Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is currently penned in for a fall 2013 release and is headed to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
