No DLC For Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed to Video Gamer that the company has no plans to release premium downloadable content for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions. Sakurai says the reason behind this is that he wants fans to feel content that they’ve got the full version of each game. Here is what he had to say regarding the DLC:

“I understand that DLC could add a lot to the appeal of Smash Bros.,” Sakurai said, “and I appreciate that a major part of the excitement for these games come from which characters will appear in the roster, so I think fans could really enjoy DLC that could keep this excitement going...

The first wave of Amiibo’s is set to release on November 21st followed by 2 more waves in the coming months. We think Nintendo’s newest creation will have a big impact for the company and it will be interesting to see how things play out when they release.
