Ever since Unravel was shown for PS4, the game has really caught my attention. It’s always nice to see a different sort of game and the main character just pulls on my heart strings. Creative Director Martin Sahlin talks about the inspiration for Yarny in Unravel, the character you’ll guide through the game, and how the story influenced the gameplay. Unravel is set to hit the PS4 next month. The game will also be available on PC and XBOX One.

This just in, Psychonauts 2 has now been fully funded. The game, which was announced late last year, relied on crowd funding and gamers have responded greatly. As of this writing, the project has been fully funded with 5 days left. The team over at Double Fine have to be thrilled with this news and we can’t wait to see the title in action.

Congrats! Did you help fund Psychonauts 2?

Bitblock had a nice little discussion about Nintendo’s upcoming system, NX, so we decided to post this video for everyone to check out. Nintendo has gone on record stating that we won’t hear anything until 2016 and we have officially arrived in 2016 (I was secretly hoping that they would really ring in the new year with a bang and discuss NX this month).

Check out the video and let us know what you think.

GameInformer has revealed their magazine cover for next month. The February edition of GameInformer will feature the all new Doom title that was shown last year. The gameplay looked pretty brutal when it was shown but we expect nothing less from a Doom game. I expect my new issue to arrive any day now so I will keep you all updated when I read it over.

The all new Doom is headed to PC, PS4 and XBOX One.

This just in, A Boy and His Blob has been announced for PS4 and you can check out the trailer above. The beautiful game will have players solving puzzles and will be headed to its new home consoles on January 19th. Enjoy the trailer and let us know if this catches your eye.

Will you be giving the game a download?

Sony has announced that the sales for the PS4 system have now hot over 35.9 million units sold. This figure includes worldwide sales of the popular system and we can’t wait to see what they sell this year. Sony had a massively successful Holiday season and with some heavy hitter hitting this year, we expect the company to have another stellar year. The PS4 system is currently available in 124 countries and 6 regions worldwide. Congrats Sony! Here’s to 35 million more!

Nintendo NX in Steady Development Will Offer Something New

How often have we heard that the Nintendo NX will do something different for gamers? Well my friends, mark another one in the books as the good people over at DualShockers have posted another story stating that the NX will indeed offer something new for players.

Nintendo’s recently appointed President Tatsumi Kimishima briefly talked about it during an interview on Sankei West, mentioning that the company doesn’t intend to just jump to the market with the console, that is in steady development to offer a new experience, different from what is provided by the Wii U and 3DS.

I am always interested in hearing what Nintendo has been working on and this time around is no different. I am very eager to see what the NX is and think that Nintendo will put out something very special.

More as it develops.

XBOX One Exclusive Titles Sell BIG

Well my friends, the XBOX One’s biggest exclusives have sold rather well this Holiday season racking up big numbers at retail. Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition all headlined the Holiday season and it was an impressive lineup to say the least. Here is what the company had to say:

Every title in our exclusive 2015 holiday games line-up – Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – sold over 1 million units, and the number of Xbox One gamers who played Microsoft Studios-published titles more than doubled compared to 2014.

Awesome news for Microsoft’s newest home console.

Bayonetta 2 Is Now Incredibly Hard To Find At Retail

Apparently the Wii U exclusive, Bayonetta 2, is now incredibly hard to find anywhere at retail. The game, which received rave reviews when it was released for the Wii U, is apparently out of print now and online auction sites such as eBay have seen the game jump in price. The game is still available for download on the Nintendo eShop but if you want a retail copy, you may have to do some looking.

Thank God I have my retail copy… Do you?
