Nintendo 3DS Officially Sells More Than N64

The Nintendo 3DS has sold more units than Nintendo’s own Nintendo 64 which launched in 1996. the handheld still has some catching up to do in terms of software sales, but this is great news for the handheld. The next milestone for the Nintendo 3DS is to outsell the SNES shipments at 49.1 million.

All New Nintendo Direct Announced For October 1st

Nintendo has announced their latest Nintendo Direct will be making its an appearance tomorrow, October 1. The broadcast will take place at 7 am PT, 10am ET, and 3pm UK time, and will cover both Wii U and 3DS games launching later this year. There are a number of high profile titles launching for both systems so expect news for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Wii Sports Club and Wii Fit U. I would imagine that the 3DS will feature titles such as Pokémon X and Y and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
