POKEMON GO – TRAINERS CAUGHT OVER 589 MILLION MAGIKARP

Pokemon Go players caught over 589 Million Magikarp during the gams first water-themed event. Players who logged in enjoyed a healthy number of water based Pokemon and it looks as though Magikarp was in high demand. I only was able to catch a couple of Marikarp myself, I did catch a number of new water-type Pokemon and I am excited for more events like this in the future.

How many Magikarp did you catch?

Super Mario Run Now on Android

Android owners can now play Super Mario Run on their mobile devices. The popular mobile game from Nintendo made a big splash on iOS and we can’t wait to see how it fairs on the Android platform. Nintendo will no doubt be pleased with sales and I hope we see the next wave of games for mobile platforms (I’m looking at you Animal Crossing). You will need to have Android versions 4.2 and up if you want the game to work properly.

If you are an Android owner, let us know if you plan on downloading the game.

Fire Emblem Heroes Earns Almost 3 Million in First Day

The recently released Fire Emblem Heroes has already garnered almost 3 million bucks. The game earned more than $2.9 million in worldwide gross revenue and been downloaded more than two million times according to the Data tracking firm, Sensor Tower. The game, which hit the iOS store as well as Android can be downloaded for free and players can purchase in game items for real money.

It will be interesting to see how things play out in the long run as this is more of a “hardcore” mobile game.

Animal Crossing Mobile Officially Delayed

If you are waiting for Animal Crossing on iOS or Android, you will have to wait a bit longer. Nintendo has officially announced that the popular sim type title will not be coming at the end of next month. Nintendo says that one of the reasons behind the delay is that they have diverted smartphone development resources to Super Mario Run for Android.

Animal Crossing on mobile platforms will now be released during the next fiscal year which is anytime between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018. Fingers crossed we hear more soon.

Pre-Registration For Super Mario Run is Now Available For Android Users

Android users can smile happy as pre-registration for the incredible Super Mario Run is now available. Nintendo has now enabled pre-registration for Super Mario Run on Google Play, where users will be notified when Super Mario Run is released (much like what they did for the iOS version). We fully expect the game to release in early 2017, so get ready Android users! Here is the tweet coming from Nintendo:

Pokemon GO Now on Apple iWatch

Don’t look now, but the immensely popular Pokemon GO is now available on the Apple iWatch. Players who own the watch will be able to do a number of key features by downloading the app, so here’s a quick recap on what you can do:

Log each play session as a workout, with gameplay counting toward personal Activity rings
Receive notifications about nearby Pokémon
Count distance toward hatching Pokémon Eggs and receiving Candy with your Buddy Pokémon
Receive notifications about PokéStops nearby and collect items from them
Receive notifications when Eggs hatch and medals are awarded

It seems like Pokemon GO is a natural fit for the device and we are eager to see what you guys think about having the game on your wrist.

More Pokemon Added to Pokemon GO

Good news Pokemon GO players; more cute creatures have been added to the immensely popular mobile game! Beginning today, players will have the opportunity to add Togepi, Pichu and select Pokémon originally discovered in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games to their Pokémon GO Pokédex. Check out the full rundown below and get ready to catch more Pokemon!

Here is what they had to say:

“As we race toward 2017, we can’t help but feel grateful for the support and reaction the Pokémon GO community has given us, and we’re delighted to start rolling out select Pokémon for them to hatch,” said Kei Kawai, director of product at Niantic, Inc. “We’re also looking forward to celebrating the season with our community by introducing a Pikachu wearing a festive hat, providing Trainers the opportunity to get out and explore their neighborhoods with friends and family as they gather for the holidays.”

“Fans around the world fell in love with Pokémon GO for the opportunity to encounter Pokémon—beloved pop-culture and gaming icons for 20 years—in the real world. Matched with the innovative technology and development of the mobile game by Niantic, hundreds of millions of players have filled their Pokédexes with over 100 available Pokémon in Pokémon GO while exploring the world around them,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “The opportunity to hatch select Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region is just the beginning of how more Pokémon will be added to the game for Trainers to continue their Pokémon GO adventures.”

I must say I love the newest changes in the title and cannot wait until we can trade as well. We fully expect Pokemon GO to continue to be very popular well into 2017. Enjoy.

Halloween Event Propels Pokemon GO To Top Grossing Mobile Game

spooky-pokemon-930x628

Once again, Pokemon Go sits atop the top grossing games list on the iOS charts. The Halloween event most likely has given the popular title the boost so I am certain Niantic is taking notice. Last week, the game had fallen as low as number ten. With the additions coming to Pokemon GO, we can see this trend continuing for the near future.

Pokemon GO Back on Top

unnamed

Pokemon Go is now back on top in the U.S. top grossing charts on iOS. It looks as though the “fad” is back and I cannot wait to see what Pokemon GO will bring to us in the future. With the promise of trading, more gyms/Pokecenters, it looks like Pokemon GO will have a bright future ahead of it. I still log into my game from time to time but I think I may try and focus back up and level my character. With Niantic providing regular updates it seems to have kept users interested in the application and has once again captured players money and attention…

Pokemon GO Breaking Guinness World Records

pokemon_go_logo

The official Guinness World Records site has reported that Pokemon GO has broken 5 records. They are “Most revenue grossed by a mobile game in its first month”, “Most downloaded mobile game in its first month”, “Most international charts topped simultaneously for a mobile game in its first month (downloads)”, “Most international charts topped simultaneously for a mobile game in its first month (revenue)” and “Fastest time to gross $100 million by a mobile game”. The site says the records were confirmed after “consulting the kings of digital data SuperData”.

The game is also said to be on track to earn over 1 BILLION (yes, with a “B”) by the end of 2016.

Massive.
