Destiny Beta Releasing in July


Activision has confirmed that the highly anticipated Destiny beta will be releasing in July. Bungie stated last week that more details regarding Destiny’s beta will be revealed at E3 2014 but it looks as though now we have a confirmed release month.

The game’s beta will be coming to PS4 and PS3 first, with Xbox One and Xbox 360 to follow.

Destiny PS4 Dev Diary: Armor, Weapons, Loot

Destiny’s arsenal is vast and varied: fire-spewing shotguns and head-melting fusion rifles coexist beside traditional pistols and rifles. Weapons span three broad categories: Primary (autorifles and hand cannons), Special (shotguns and sniper rifles), and Heavy (rockets and belt-fed machineguns).

There’s plenty of variety within each category, too. The autorifle sub-category include burst-fire pulse rifles, single-shot carbines, and an array of full-auto assault rifles that prove murderously effective at close range. Despite the sprawling arsenal, Bungie’s designers are taking pains to hand-tune each weapon’s look, feel, and lore, making them feel like natural extensions of the game’s fiction, not the expressions of some rampant computer algorithm.

Official Destiny Strike Gameplay: The Devils’ Lair

Beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome, in the shadow of an old colony ship, we’ve located the House of Devils’ lair. Fight the Fallen, burn back the Hive, and clear a path that leads straight into E3, Beta, and beyond.

Destiny is going to be something special. Words cannot express how much I am looking forward to this one so September cannot come soon enough. This new gameplay is fantastic and has me even more hyped for this game.
