Here is the first look at Burnout Remastered. The game will be releasing on March 16th and is headed to the PS4 and XBOX One. I always loved the Burnout series and I wondered where this franchise went this generation. Watching this trailer brings back some fond memories of Burnout and I may have to pick it up for my PS4.
The good people over at Polygon have recently published a very interesting article which you can check out for yourself, right here. In the article, they discuss the troubles that XBOX One has been facing (mainly its lack of exclusive games compared to the competition) and have heard that future acquisitions may be in the companies future. One of those companies that have been rumored is in fact EA. Check out a blurb from the article below:
Some of the names being thrown around as possible acquisitions by Microsoft are, frankly, astounding, even unthinkable. But the fact that they are doing the rounds is instructive. The most recent one we heard (from a reliable source close to Microsoft) was, in fact, Electronic Arts. We also heard a whisper about Valve and about Korean outfit PUBG Corp., which Microsoft last year signed to a timed exclusive for its hit survival shooter, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
“Because of where we are in the lifecycle of all these things, I’m expecting to hear Microsoft announce something very, very shortly,” said van Dreunen.
Things would get very interesting to say the least if something like this happens. As always, we will keep you informed if anything happens. More as it develops.
Adding fuel to the “Nintendo Direct in January” fire, an apparent leak from EA states that the big N will indeed host an all new Nintendo Direct next month. Nintendo typically holds a Direct show in January anyways, but it’s always nice to hear more information confirming its existence. Although we haven’t heard anything “directly” (see what I did there) from Nintendo, we expect to hear something in the coming weeks.
We also think there may be a chance that Nintendo hosts one in December as well due to the fact that the DLC for Breath if The Wild is due this month as well.
More news as it develops.
