Nintendo Switch Enjoys a Very Nice Launch

Gamestop has gone on record stating that the Nintendo Switch was a massive success as a new console launch. GameStop Senior Director of Merchandising, Eric Bright, has given his views on how the launch went up and down GameStop’s throughout North America. Here is what he had to say regarding the systems launch:

“Stores across the country last night were packed with customers who couldn’t wait to get their hands on the brand new Nintendo Switch. We even had customers lining up as early as yesterday morning so that they could be one of the lucky ones to score one of the additional units for our walk-in customers. This is one of the strongest and most successful gaming console launches for GameStop in the last several years. For those fans who are still looking for the Nintendo Switch, don’t worry–we’re getting more. And, we’re pretty sure that there are a lot of gaming fans who pulled all-nighters last night playing their new Switch, and who also called in sick to work today with ‘game-fluenza’ just to stay home and play even more.”

Great news for Nintendo. Keep it here as we give you up to the date Nintendo Switch information. Stay tuned!

SuperData Research “Nintendo Switch Could Sell 5 Million in 2017”

SuperData Research has gone on record stating that Nintendo’s latest home console, Nintendo Switch, could go on to sell over 5 million units in 2017 alone. The company also believes that it will be the devout Nintendo fans buying the console initially but it could well open up to mainstream appeal due to its innovative nature. Here is what they had to say regarding the system:

“The biggest challenge for Nintendo is to convince console gamers to purchase the Switch as a second device, as many have already committed to a PlayStation 4 (53.4 million installed base, worldwide) or Xbox One (26 million).

“Asking $300 for a new console without a bundled game is a comparatively higher barrier to entry for consumers, considering that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are already discounted and come with a free game.”

Sounds good to me. I can see it happening pretty easily actually. They have already announced that their initial 2 million should be quite scarce…. Only 3 million units to shift from now until the end of the year!

Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase

In case you missed all the sweet “Nindie” titles that are headed to Nintendo Switch, check out the video above and give it a watch. As we all know, the Nintendo Switch is set to launch this Friday, March 3rd and we are cautiously optimistic about the system (I can’t wait but I PRAY that this system does well at retail).

Indie titles looks like they will have a huge presence on Nintendo’s next home console, Nintendo Switch, so only time will tell if this huge presence will pay off.

These games do look very interesting to say the least.

Nintendo’s Step by Step Guide to Setting up Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has released an all new video just ahead of their big release for Nintendo Switch showing players how to set up the system. It seems pretty straight forward, but it’s always nice to see any company make their products as approachable as possible. Check out the video and get ready for the Nintendo Switch’s release later this week!

The Nintendo Switch system allows you to play games whenever, wherever, and however you want. Follow these steps during first time setup, and your Nintendo Switch will be ready to play.

Can you believe it?!

SnipperClips To Launch Alongside Nintendo Switch

Great news soon-to-be Nintendo Switch owners; SnipperClips will make the launch of the system. Available exclusively on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch, this charming game features three main game modes. Players can grab a friend or go it alone in World mode, or invite some more friends who can make the cut and play Party mode or the fast-paced Blitz mode with two to four players. The unique game will retail for $19.99 and you can bet your bottom dollar we will be downloading this one.

It has also been announced that a free demo for the game can also be downloaded from Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch on March 3. Don’t sleep on this one my friends, it looks pretty fun.

Will you be downloading the game?

Should Nintendo Discuss The Advantages of Game Cards

Just in case you missed my latest YouTube video, check it out above. In this all new Nintendo Switch video, I discuss whether or not Nintendo should be touting the use of a game card (cartridge) and its competitive advantages over disc based systems. Check it out and let me know what YOU guys think. If you’re feeling awesome, be sure to comment and subscribe to the channel.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Limited Edition – Mr Aonuma unboxing

Here is an incredible The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition unboxing from Mr Aonuma. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release alongside Nintendo’s newest home console, the Nintendo Switch, on March 3rd (which is NEXT WEEK!). I am dumbfounded as to why Nintendo didn’t produce more of the limited edition of this game as it sold out within minutes of availability (I guess they really did mean “limited”).

I really look forward to getting my hands on the game and cannot wait until next week. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks to be a HUGE undertaking for Nintendo and I hope it pays off for the company.

Check it out and let us know what you think.
