Gamestop has gone on record stating that the Nintendo Switch was a massive success as a new console launch. GameStop Senior Director of Merchandising, Eric Bright, has given his views on how the launch went up and down GameStop’s throughout North America. Here is what he had to say regarding the systems launch:
“Stores across the country last night were packed with customers who couldn’t wait to get their hands on the brand new Nintendo Switch. We even had customers lining up as early as yesterday morning so that they could be one of the lucky ones to score one of the additional units for our walk-in customers. This is one of the strongest and most successful gaming console launches for GameStop in the last several years. For those fans who are still looking for the Nintendo Switch, don’t worry–we’re getting more. And, we’re pretty sure that there are a lot of gaming fans who pulled all-nighters last night playing their new Switch, and who also called in sick to work today with ‘game-fluenza’ just to stay home and play even more.”
Great news for Nintendo. Keep it here as we give you up to the date Nintendo Switch information. Stay tuned!
Hello again everyone and welcome to another video. This one displays a much needed wireless controller for the NES Mini (from MyArcade), so be sure to check out this Unboxing! Thanks to MyArcade for sending this out and be sure to stay tuned for a full review of the product. The NES Mini’s normal controller only gives gamers 3 feet of cable, so something like this
In case you missed my latest YouTube video, check it out above! It’s all things Nintendo this week, so keep it here for more Nintendo Switch and Nintendo news in general. I hope you all enjoy the video and be sure you subscribe to the channel.
SuperData Research has gone on record stating that Nintendo’s latest home console, Nintendo Switch, could go on to sell over 5 million units in 2017 alone. The company also believes that it will be the devout Nintendo fans buying the console initially but it could well open up to mainstream appeal due to its innovative nature. Here is what they had to say regarding the system:
“The biggest challenge for Nintendo is to convince console gamers to purchase the Switch as a second device, as many have already committed to a PlayStation 4 (53.4 million installed base, worldwide) or Xbox One (26 million).
“Asking $300 for a new console without a bundled game is a comparatively higher barrier to entry for consumers, considering that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are already discounted and come with a free game.”
Sounds good to me. I can see it happening pretty easily actually. They have already announced that their initial 2 million should be quite scarce…. Only 3 million units to shift from now until the end of the year!
In case you missed all the sweet “Nindie” titles that are headed to Nintendo Switch, check out the video above and give it a watch. As we all know, the Nintendo Switch is set to launch this Friday, March 3rd and we are cautiously optimistic about the system (I can’t wait but I PRAY that this system does well at retail).
Indie titles looks like they will have a huge presence on Nintendo’s next home console, Nintendo Switch, so only time will tell if this huge presence will pay off.
These games do look very interesting to say the least.
Nintendo has released an all new video just ahead of their big release for Nintendo Switch showing players how to set up the system. It seems pretty straight forward, but it’s always nice to see any company make their products as approachable as possible. Check out the video and get ready for the Nintendo Switch’s release later this week!
The Nintendo Switch system allows you to play games whenever, wherever, and however you want. Follow these steps during first time setup, and your Nintendo Switch will be ready to play.
A new image has appeared online and it showcases all the user icons that players will be able to pick from when Nintendo releases the Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to pick from the images above to appear on their profile for the upcoming system. The only image that is missing that players will be able to choose would be their Mii icon. Only time will tell if Nintendo decides to release more user profile icons but I can see them putting a section on the Nintendo eShop for easy revenue.
Although I am not completely sold on what icon I will be picking, Gannon from Wind Waker is looking mighty fine.
