The latest Japanese hardware sales are in and the Switch took the top spot. Looks like that “Splatoon 2 effect” is strong with Nintendo and they seem to be really trying to ship as many units as possible to capitalize on the hype.

Nintendo to Hold Special Panel at PAX West 2017

It has been revealed that Nintendo will be attending PAX West and will play host to a “special panel” at this year’s show. We fully expect to hear more about how the Switch is disrupting the video game scene much like how the original Wii did back when it was launched. I also expect to hear a lot about Super Mario Odyssey but we will have to wait and see what they will talk about next month. The special panel from Nintendo will take place on September 2nd.

Dragon Quest X Version 4 Headed to Switch in November

At the Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017, Square Enix has announced the next expansion for Dragon Quest X, known as “The 500-Year Voyage to a Far-away Hometown.” The game will be launching on November 16 for 3,800 yen in Japan. I am hoping we will get a localized version of the game from Square, so I will keep my fingers crossed.

I can’t wait to see more Square Enix titles for Switch… Where have they gone?! I was fully expecting to see/hear more about them during E3 2017. Check out the trailer below as well:
