Well, the moment is finally here my friends; Nintendo will be showcasing a teaser trailer for their “next home console” codenamed NX. The trailer will take place tomorrow at 10 am so you can bet we will be tuned in!! Not much is known but we do know that this is a “trailer” and not the full reveal. Speculation is pointing at the consoles official name and hopefully some sweet gameplay. No other details have been given but at least it’s something. Nintendo has been tight lipped regarding its future plans but it looks as though they are about to open Pandora’s box and it all starts tomorrow.
The NX preview trailer will air at the following times:
– 7 AM PT
– 10 AM ET
– 3 PM in the UK
– 4 PM in Europe
Just in case you missed my latest YouTube upload, here is what I think Nintendo NX truly is. The system SHOULD be revealed sometime this week but we aren’t holding our breath. The next investors meeting is on October 26th, so it seems likely that we will get some news on the system sometime this week.
Take a couple minutes to listen to what I think the NX is and be sure to comment! Thanks again and we will see you on the next video.
In case you missed my latest YouTube video, I have decided to post it right here for your viewing pleasure. While we wait and wait and wait for Nintendo to unveil the NX, I got to thinking about the future of what Amiibo’s could mean for the console. Remember the initial Amiibo craze? I wonder if Nintendo will try and kick start it again by upping the anti and allowing 3rd parties to release the figures as well…
Bravely Default is celebrating it’s 4 year anniversary. Square Enix’s official Bravely Default Twitter account has announced that the popular JRPG for the 3DS is officially celebrating this momentous anniversary. Here is what they had to say regarding the game (notice the little tease at the end):
“It’s Bravely‘s four-year anniversary! We apologize as news has been scant recently. There may be something soon….!?”
So, the most interesting part is right at the end of the tweet…. It states that we may be getting news “soon” regarding the franchise. Now if we remember, Nintendo held a pretty BIG Nintendo Direct last month which would no doubt be host to a new Bravely Default game. IF in fact the title was headed to the handheld, wouldn’t they announce it during the big show?
Seeing that this tweet mentions that we may be hearing something “soon” regarding the series AND that the Nintendo 3DS Direct had no mention of one of its biggest games, it may be safe to assume that the franchise may indeed be heading to the Nintendo NX. Nintendo is said to be officially announcing the much sought after system “soon” and what better way to entice even more gamers than with a full blown JRPG for their new console.
Whether or not it would be a remaster or a new entry into the series remains to be seen but did Square just drop a NX bomb? Let us know in the comment section!
Here is an all new Nintendo NX rumor for everyone to chew on… Apparently the hotly anticipated system will feature a “share” button similar to PS4’s share button that they currently have on their home console. According to this rumor, the Share Button will allow players to share images and video directly to Miiverse, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. If this new rumor pans out to be true, I would say that this is a HUGE step in the right direction. IF Nintendo decides to implement this, it will only get more and more attention and be a great thing for the company and the NX system.
As to WHAT the NX is, only time will tell. All things seem to be pointing to a September showcase but we will see…
More as it develops. Nintendo- MAKE THIS RUMOR TRUE!
As we patiently wait for news regarding the Nintendo NX, the good people over at Eurogamer seem to have uncovered more details regarding the highly anticipated system. Keep in mind, this news should be taken with a grain of salt as we have yet to hear anything official from the big N themselves…. Anyway, here is what the internet outlet is reporting:
Nintendo’s upcoming NX will be a portable, handheld console with detachable controllers, a number of sources have confirmed to Eurogamer.
On the move, NX will function as a high-powered handheld console with its own display. So far so normal – but here’s the twist: we’ve heard the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required.
The website goes on to report that the system will also feature Nvidia’s powerful Tegra mobile processor and that the NX will use game cartridges as its choice of physical media.
Only time will tell if this rumor pans out to be true. I was under the impression that the NX was more of a “platform” concept and will feature a handheld component AND a home console. The two would work in tandem however would NOT be a hybrid system. What do you guys think?
