Has Been Heroes Review

One of the many titles that has hit the Nintendo Switch’s library is one called Has Been Heroes. The game, which was developed by the team that brought us the Trine trilogy, is a rogue-like RPG/Tower Defense title that tries to blend together two or three distinct genres of games, but ultimately falls short. While the game has a delightful art direction, the gameplay suffers a ton and makes this game just an OK entry into the Switch’s growing game library.

Snake Pass PS4 Review

Have you ever wanted to revisit that “classic platforming game” that allows you to explore a colorful world and collect many items along the way? Well Snake Pass from Sumo Digital may fit your bill. The vibrant world in this physics based puzzle/platforming game have made me happy and although it could be a bit cumbersome when it comes to the controls, I walked away (or should I say “slithered” away) decently satisfied.

Badland Game of The Year Edition Wii U Review

BADLAND_GOTY

In case you missed Badland the first time around, the game originally released on iOS and Android two years ago and was highly praised. It won countless awards on the mobile platform and featured an amazing art direction with outstanding gameplay to boot. While it worked flawlessly on my iOS device, did the game create the same impact on the Wii U?

Tiny Galaxy Wii U Review

gameplay_1

Tiny Galaxy is an entertaining little Wii U eShop title that players may want to check out. It’s a challenging game with an adorable sound track and interesting visuals. Tiny Galaxy isn’t your average platformer and is an interesting take on the genre. Rather than traversing levels from left-to-right found in a typical platformer, players are tasked with performing vertical jumps from planet to planet while collecting the stars located on each one. While it’s not a perfect game by any means, if you have a few extra bucks laying in your eshop account, you may want to give this one a try.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal Review

Sonic_Boom_-_Characters

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal came out for the Nintendo 3DS and the remake has its issues. It’s not a typical Sonic title that we’ve come to expect with blazing speeds and crazy flips and runs but rather a more of an exploration adventure than a speedy racer. The blue blur has changed from his running shoes and has put on his platforming and puzzle solving scarf and we walked away with mixed emotions.

the-legend-of-zelda-wind-waker-hd-box-art-gaming.png

It took me a while to actually crack open my copy of The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD but now that I did, I can’t imagine why I waited until now to get my hands on it. Yes my friends, The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD released on the Wii U in October 2013 but until recently it sat on my desk in its beautiful, limited edition package.

I thought I already knew what to expect having beat this outstanding game on the GameCube years ago but boy was I mistaken. Not only does the gameplay stand up incredibly well in this timeless title but the all new HD graphics literally pop off the screen and showcase one of the best looking titles in this next generation. You can flip through a number of HD pics of the game but until you see it up and running yourself, the pictures will not do the game justice.

So how does The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD fair? Take a seat and read on for our official review.

Ah licensed games. There are so many of them out there and very few that deliver quality video games. iOS: Rayman Jungle Run Review

The wizards over at Ubisoft have done it again and have crafted one of iOS’ best titles to date in Rayman Jungle Run. The title looks stunning and follows the same, beautiful graphic style that has graced this generations best platformer; Rayman Origins. The title looks and plays beautiful on any iOS device but truly shines on the new iPads retina display.
