Well my friends, the XBOX One’s biggest exclusives have sold rather well this Holiday season racking up big numbers at retail. Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition all headlined the Holiday season and it was an impressive lineup to say the least. Here is what the company had to say:
Every title in our exclusive 2015 holiday games line-up – Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – sold over 1 million units, and the number of Xbox One gamers who played Microsoft Studios-published titles more than doubled compared to 2014.
Today, Microsoft has announced the Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle – the ultimate Tomb Raider experience. The newly announced bundle features the following items:
1TB hard drive, so fans can play and store more games than ever
Full-game download of the highly anticipated and Holiday 2015 Xbox exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider
The exclusive Tactical Survival Kit Content Pack, which contains a new outfit and weapon skin for Lara
Full-game download of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, the HD remake of 2013’s critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider
The Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle will be available starting in November for $399 USD. Microsoft is really aiming to offer up gamers a plethora of choices headed into this holiday season and it will be interesting to see what bundle comes out on top (my guess is that the Halo 5 Guardians bundle will take the top spot in terms of sales).
Square Enix has announced Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on PS4 and PC in 2016.
The company has confirmed the PC version of the game will arrive in “early 2016”, while console exclusivity will last for a year. This means Rise of the Tomb Raider won’t land on PS4 until “Holiday 2016”, as the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions are due for release on November 10, 2015.

The official box art has been revealed for the hotly anticipate Rise of the Tomb Raider. Lara Croft sports two ice picks and seems to be exploring a blustery cold mountaintop. The next issue of Game Informer magazine is set to feature the XBOX exclusive, Rise of the Tomb Raider. After the events on Yamatai, the young archeologist has grown into a capable adventure seeker, and Rise of the Tomb Raider will send Lara to the frozen wilds of Siberia on a hunt for the lost secrets of immortality. Now Lara will have to hunt and craft new survival gear in order to take on larger puzzle tombs and a deadly new enemy, a secret society that has been lying in the shadows since the last game. Lara will gear up for her new adventure on Xbox One and Xbox 360 this holiday season, but the studio hasn’t ruled out the possibility that the game will come to other consoles later on.
During today’s Gamescom 2014 press conference for Microsoft, the company announced that the sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot is headed to XBOX One and it will be exclusive to the platform. Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to launch in holiday 2015 and looks absolutely incredible.
