Mario, Luigi, and Metroid-themed Battle-Cars are coming to Rocket League on Nintendo Switch in winter 2017. The new Nintendo Battle Cars trailer showcases the magnificent new Rocket League additions, so check out the video above. Although I LOVE both the Mario and Luigi themed cars, Metroid Samus’ gunship takes the cake!
Check it out and let us know what you think. I am thrilled that Rocket League is headed to the Nintendo Switch and will be “double dipping” when it’s released later this year.
One of the best announcements to come out of Nintendo’s camp during E3 2017 was the fact that Rocket League is headed to the Nintendo Switch. The popular game is phenomenal and seems like a perfect fit for the Switch. Now, the developers are coming out and stating that the game is AHEAD of schedule and development has gone swimmingly. Here is what they had to say regarding the title:
“We’re actually ahead of where we thought we’d be. We didn’t think we would have it running this smooth, this early. For a while we were concerned about whether we’d have anything to show at E3 at all. We have a very talented team at Psyonix. Our engineers have done a lot of hard work to make sure this runs as well as it does already. We’ve already discovered things in the last few weeks that we weren’t aware of a few weeks ago. It’s already made the game perform incredibly. We’re very encouraged.”
I am going to “double dip” on Rocket League and pick it up (again) when it’s released later this year for Nintendo Switch.
Rocket League developers have confirmed that the game will run at 720P and 60FPS when it releases on Nintendo Switch later this year. One of the highlights from the Nintendo Spotlight was the announcement of this incredible game and will come packed with cross-play for anyone looking to play online.
Rocket League is headed to the Nintendo Switch this winter. Look for it Holiday time. Stay tuned for more info.
This just in, Rocket League has officially hit 30 million players! This gigantic milestone has to be due to the fact that the game is incredibly addicting and insanely fun. We here at MVGN want to personally congratulate the team at Psyonix and here’s to 30 million more. Here’s hoping we get a Switch version soon!
Rocket League, the incredible game that features sweet cars playing soccer, may be headed to the Nintendo Switch. The company behind the successful title is currently “looking” into Switch development so we hope that the game does indeed grace the system. Here is what they had to say regarding the game coming to Switch:
“Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are,” Dunham said. “We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would.”
“I think we’ve shown over time we’re a community based company, and so what we’re doing first is seeing what kind of impact that would have and who needs it and who wants the game and we’ll go from there,” Dunham said. “Luckily the platform’s only been out for a month, so we have plenty of time to look to see how it’s doing and what our audience wants.”
Hopefully we will hear something soon. Stay tuned.
