Android owners can now play Super Mario Run on their mobile devices. The popular mobile game from Nintendo made a big splash on iOS and we can’t wait to see how it fairs on the Android platform. Nintendo will no doubt be pleased with sales and I hope we see the next wave of games for mobile platforms (I’m looking at you Animal Crossing). You will need to have Android versions 4.2 and up if you want the game to work properly.
If you are an Android owner, let us know if you plan on downloading the game.
Android users can smile happy as pre-registration for the incredible Super Mario Run is now available. Nintendo has now enabled pre-registration for Super Mario Run on Google Play, where users will be notified when Super Mario Run is released (much like what they did for the iOS version). We fully expect the game to release in early 2017, so get ready Android users! Here is the tweet coming from Nintendo:

Super Mario Run has already reached 50 MILLION downloads on iOS! The game has been a “runaway” success and will no doubt continue its dominance well into the Holidays. Nintendo Japan tweeted earlier today that the mobile title has officially reached 50 million downloads on Apple’s iOS platform. I wonder how much that converts to in money…
Nintendo is sure to be pleased with these crazy numbers!

Nintendo has announced the final release date for Super Mario Run for iOS. The highly anticipated title will release on December 15th and will run $9.99. Nintendo first showcased the mobile game during one of Apple’s event’s and it was pretty sweet to see Shiggy on stage with Apple’s big names. Here is what they had to say regarding the game:
“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”
Super Mario Run is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running iOS 8.0 or later. Count us in.
In case you didn’t know, Super Mario Run for iOS is going to be HUGE. According to Apple’s Tim Cook, 20 million people have already to hit the ‘Notify’ button for Super Mario Run when it comes out. Apple placed information about the game on its app store and millions of people want to know when the game is fully released. It was a joy to see Nintendo take center stage during an Apple event and we can’t wait to get our hand (yes 1 hand) on the game.

The interesting tweet simply stated “Getting the hang of Super Mario Run, thanks to Miyamoto-san and his awesome team at Nintendo” but it’s pretty nifty to actually see the picture.
