Still looking for a Nintendo Switch? Well you may want to head to Toys R Us on April 28th as the major retailer has stated that they will have more Switch consoles Friday. Toys R Us took to Twitter to announce the news and if you have yet to get a system, April 28th may be your day. We fully expect other retailers to have a similar situation as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will also release on that day and Nintendo will no doubt ship as many consoles as possible to celebrate the games release.
Just in case you missed my latest YouTube upload, check it out above! It’s my reaction to this weeks Nintendo Direct showcase. I am eager to hear what you all have to say about the latest Nintendo Direct show, so be sure to give the video a watch and make a comment.
In case you missed it, Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch will be releasing on July 21st. This great news was shared during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. All new Splatoon-themed Amiibo figures will also be headed to retail shelves on the same day. I cannot wait to hear more about the game and it looks awesome thanks to today’s presentation.
During today’s Nintendo Direct show, it was revealed that ARMS for Nintendo Switch will be released on June 16th. The game will be arriving in both North America and Europe on that day. Nintendo also shared that all new Joy Cons will be available when the game launches and they will be neon yellow. Although I am not fond of the color yellow, these special joy cons do look pretty darn cool. Check out the trailer above and let us know if you plan on picking up ARMS for Nintendo Switch.
Looks great to me! Check out the 7 minute video guys.
In case you all missed my latest YouTube video, check it out above. I discuss what I think Nintendo will share during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct show and I would love to hear what you guys think! The all new Nintendo Direct is set to take place on Wednesday at 6pm EST. I hope Nintendo announces a bundle with their promising, new game ARMS (with joy cons) as it just makes a ton of sense since you need 4 joy cons for 2 player action.
Check it out and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel! More Nintendo Switch news as it develops.
Nintendo has announced that they will be hosting an all new Nintendo Direct this Wednesday! The new Nintendo Direct will focus on software headed for the Nintendo 3DS as well as ARMS and Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. I personally cannot wait to hear more about ARMS as it looks like a fresh, new franchise (plus I can’t wait to see my kids duke it out). The new Nintendo Direct will take place at 6PM EST.
Sumo Digital, the makers behind the fantastic platform Snake Pass, have shared that it only took 1 week for them to get their game up and running on Nintendo Switch. Here is what they had to say regarding the game and the hardware:
“No. We only got our dev-kits for the Switch around the end of November last year. In December, lots of people had to take holidays (because they never do), so it was only in January that we really started looking at the port. The coders were saying that within seven days’ work approximately, they had it fully running on the Switch.
After that, of course, there were some tweaks. You’d notice that certain things didn’t work well enough on the Switch, so you’d have to make a couple of tweaks here and there. But yes, the initial process from it being purely PC to having it on a handheld was about seven days from what I’ve heard. I think in the future, that will be even quicker, because essentially, Unreal has an “export as Switch” button now, and because both Unreal and Nintendo have worked closely with us to smooth all this out. I think in the future it will be even simpler for other companies, and for ourselves as well.
Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing a ton of awesome Unreal games in the next two years on my new Switch.”
It’s stories like these that make me thrilled to be a Nintendo Switch owner. The system has been a haven for indie titles and I hope that more developers take advantage of how easy it is to port over their games. If you get a chance, check out Snake Pass. We will have our official review up this week. Stay tuned!
Blizzard has announced that they would be open to bringing their popular, online trading card game to Nintendo Switch. Hearthstone senior game designers Mike Donais and Matt Place said that since the game is on tablets and phones a Nintendo Switch version of the card title would work well. Here is what they had to say:
“Hearthstone is available on iPads and phones, so it’s a good discussion worth having.”
IF you have never played the game, it’s outstanding! This would be HUGE news for Nintendo Switch if the title does become available. More as it develops.
