A Netflix customer service rep has told GoNintendo user KamehamehaX that Netflix is “locked and loaded” for the Nintendo Switch. The app has supposedly been submitted for Nintendo’s popular platform and it should be only a matter of time before the streaming video service shows up on the device. I think it would be pretty incredible if this happens sooner rather than later and we will keep you updated once the news hits.
It has been revealed that Nintendo has spent an estimated $4.5 Million dollars on advertising for the month of August. If this turns out to be true, it would be more money than Xbox and Playstation. Playstation campaigns amounted to a total estimated figure of $2.5m and Xbox at $1.5m.
It will be interesting to see how things ramp up in the coming Holiday season as the release of XBOX One X is fast approaching while Sony will be pushing its hardware to the fullest. Nintendo has gone on record stating that it may be hard to find a Switch this Holiday season so let’s all just wait and see how this pans out. It has been nice to see a ton of advertisements from Nintendo products as the Wii U didn’t receive this much love when it was available.
Well this is good news for indie developers looking to bring their game on the Nintendo Switch… Apparently a number of titles are doing VERY well on the system and many developers have announced that their Switch version of their games are selling rather well. FDG Entertainment has confirmed today that their game Oceanhorn sold more copies on the Nintendo Switch than all other consoles combined! This is huge news and will no doubt open the flood gates for indie titles on the Switch.
